About me!
My name is Taghrid Khattab. I was born in Damascus, Syria on 1960. I started my education in Al-Huda Elementry School, then I got my High School Diploma from Dawa and Irshad Islamic Institute. I graduated from the University of Damascus with a bachelor degree in Islamic Studies, then I received a Diploma in Educational Habilitation from the University of Damascus - Department of Education.
Because my high school grades were excellent, I started teaching Islamic Studies and Arabic Language in Dawa and Irshar Islamic Institute immediately after my graduation from High School. Five years later I became a professor in Arabic Language and Islamic Jurisprudence in Dawa Islamic College in Damascus. I remained in that position for nearly 18 years.
I am still interested in continuing my education journey, but my movement to the USA was an obstacle that paused my journey for a while. Even with all the responsibilities I am in charge with for my family and children, I am still reading, studying and tracking the updates on the contemporary issues about Islam and Fiqh (Jurisprudence).
I wrote a book with the title "100 Questions and Ansswers about Women" and another book about Fasting which was translated into English and distributed for free to several mosques and islamic centers in the USA. I wrote a couple of other books which will be published soon, in sha'a Allah.
