259. A trip in the morning or the evening, for the pleasure of Allah, is better than whatever the sun rises on or sets on. (Muslim)
260- أَفْضَلُ الجِهَادِ كَلِمَةُ حَقٍّ عِنْدَ سُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ.البيهقي260. The best Jihad is uttering the truth in the presence of an oppressive ruler. (Al-Bayhaqi)
261- إِنَّ فِي الجَّنةِ مَائَةُ دَرَجَةٍ أَعَدَّهَا اللهِ لِلْمُجَاهِدِيْنَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَاْ بَيْنَ الدَّرَجَتَيِنْ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ.البخاري261. Verily, there are one hundred levels in Paradise which Allah has prepared for the Mujahedeen (fighters) for Allah’s pleasure, and (the distance) between each level and the other is like (the distance) between the sky and the earth. (Al-Bukhari)
262- مَنْ قَاتَل لِتَكُونَ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ هِيَ العُلْيا فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ.متفق عليه262. He who fights for Allah’s word to be superior, is fighting for Allah’s sake. (Agreed on)
263- مَنْ قُتِلَ دُوْنَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ دَمِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُوْنَ دِيْنِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ أَهْلِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ.أحمد263. He who is killed defending his money is a martyr; he who is killed defending himself is a martyr; he who is killed defending his religion is a martyr; and he who is killed defending his family is a martyr. (Ahmad)
264- حَرَسُ لَيْلَةٍ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ خَيِرٌ مِنْ أَلِفْ لَيْلَةٍ يُقَامُ لَيْلُهَا وَيُصَامُ نَهَارُها.الحاكم وأحمد264. Guarding a night for the sake of Allah is better than spending one thousand nights in praying and fasting. (Al-Hakim and Ahmad)
265- الشُّهَدَاَءُ عَلَى بَارِقِ نَهْرِ الجَنَّةِ فِي قُبَّةٍ خَضْرَاءَ يَخْرُجُ عَلَيْهِمْ رِزْقُهُمْ مِنَ الجَنَّةِ بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيَّاً.أحمد265. Martyrs are in a green dome on the shore of a brilliant and pure river in Paradise, and they are given their boon in the morning and evening. (Ahmad)
266- يَشْفَعُ الشَّهِيدُ فِي سَبْعِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ.ابن حبان266. The martyr intercedes for seventy of his family. (Ibn Habban)
267- مَاْ تَرَكَ قَوْمٌ الجِهَادَ إِلَّا عَمَّهُمُ اللهُ بِالْعَذَابِ.الطبراني267. Whenever people forsake Jihad, Allah overwhelms them with punishment. (At-Tabaraani)
268- الشَّهَاِدةُ سَبْعٌ سِوَىَ القَتِلْ فِي سَبِيِل الله الَمْبطُونُ شَهِيدٌ وَالغَرِيْقُ شَهِيدٌ وَصَاحِبُ ذَاتِ الَجْنبِ شهيدٌ وَالَمْطعُونُ شَهِيدٌ وَصاحِبُ الِحرَيِق شَهِيدٌ والذَّيْ يَمُوتُ تَحْتَ الَهْدِم شَهِيدٌ والمَرْأَةُ تَمُوتُ بِجُمْعٍ شهِيَدةٌ.أبو داود والنسائي268. Martyrdom is seven in addition to fighting for Allah’s sake: he who dies out of an abdominal disease is a martyr; he who dies by drowning is a martyr; he who dies out of pleurisy is a martyr; he who dies out of a plague is a martyr; he who dies out of fire is a martyr; he who dies under destruction is a martyr; and she who dies from giving birth is a martyr. (Abu Daud and Al-Nasaai)
269- مَنْ حَمَلَ عَلَيْنا السَّلاَحَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا.البخاري269. He who bears the arms to fight us is not one of us. (Al-Bukhari)
271- مَا يَجِدُ الشَّهِيْدُ مِنَ القَتْلِ إلَّا كَما يِجَدُ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ القَرْصَةِ.الترمذي271. The martyr feels the killing just as you feel the sting. (At-Tirmithi)
272- إِنَّ أَرْوَاحَ الشُّهَداِء فِي طَيْرٍ خُضْرٍ تَعْلَقُ مِنْ ثَمِر الجَّنةِ أَوْ شَجَرِ الجَّنةِ.الترمذي272. The souls of the martyrs are in green birds hanging on Paradise’s fruits or trees. (At-Tirmithi)
273- مَنْ سَأَلَ الله الشَّهَادَةَ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ بَلَّغَهُ اللهُ مَنَازِل الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلى فِرَاشِهِ.مسلم273. He who asks Allah to die as a martyr sincerely, Allah grants him the status of martyrdom, even if he dies in his bed. (Muslim)
275- الطَّاعُونُ شهادَةٌ لِكُلِ مُسْلِمٍ.البخاري ومسلم275. The plague is martyrdom for every Muslim. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
276- قَتْلُ الصَّبِرْ لا يمُّر بِذَنْبٍ إلَّا مَحَاهُ.البزار276. When one is killed while tortured, not a sin will be left in his record. (Al-Bazzar)
277- الشَّهِيُد يُغْفَرُ لَهُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ دَفْعَةٍ مِنْ دَمِهِ وَيُزَّوجَ حَوْرَاوَيْنِ وَيُشَفَّعُ فِي سَبْعِيَن مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ.الطبراني277. The martyr is forgiven with the first gush of his blood; he gets married to two houris (women of Paradise); and he intercedes for seventy of his family. (At-Tabaraani)
278- مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَظْلَمَتِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ.النسائي278. He who is killed defending his grievance is a martyr. (Al-Nasaai)
279- المُؤَذِّنُ الُمْحَتِسبُ كالشَّهِيدِ المُتَشَحِّطِ في دَمِهِ يَتَمَنَّى عَلى الله مَا يَشْتَهِي بَيْنَ الَأذَانِ والِإقَامَةِ.الطبراني279. The Mu’aththin on Allah’s account is like the bloodstained martyr; he can ask Allah whatever he desires between Azan and Iqamah. (At-Tabaraani)
280- القَتْلُ في سَبِيِل الله يُكَفِّرُ كلَّ خَطِيَئةٍ إلاَّ الدَّيْنَ.مسلم280. The martyrdom for Allah’s sake atones for all sins except indebtedness. (Muslim)
