الفصل السابع و العشرون: آفَاْتُ اللِّسَاْن

Chapter 27: The mistakes of the tongue

435- مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ فَلْيَتبَّوأ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ. متفق عليه

435. He who lies about me, has reserved a seat in the fire of hell. (Agreed on)

436- احثْوُا فيِ وُجُوهِ المَدّاحِينَ التُّرابَ. الترمذي

436. Throw dust in the mouths of the ones who praise people. (At-Tirmithi)

437- سِبَابُ المُسْلِمُ فَسُوقُ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ. البخاري

437. The one who curses a Muslim is derailed, and fighting the Muslim is disbelief. (Al-Bukhari)

438- مَنْ كَان‌ لَهُ وَجْهَانِ فيِ الدُّنْيا كَانَ لَهُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ لِسَانانِ مِنْ نَارٍ. أبو داود

438. He who holds a double standard in this life will have two tongues of fire on the Day of Resurrection. (Abu Daud)

439- إِنَّ اللَه لاَ يُحِبُّ الفَاحِشَ المُتَفَحِّشَ. البخاري

439. Verily, Allah does not like the nasty obscene careless sinner. (Al-Bukhari)

440- مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَاليَومِ الآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْراً أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ. البخاري ومسلم

440. He who believes in Allah and in the hereafter should say good or remain silent. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

441- مَنْ يَضْمَنْ لِيْ مَا بَيْنَ لِحْيَيْهِ وَمَا بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْهِ أَضْمَنْ لَهُ الجَنَّةَ. البخاري

441. He who guards what is between his jawbones (his tongue) and what is between his two legs (from committing sin), I guarantee him Jannah. (Al-Bukhari)

442- لاَ يَكُونُ اللَّعانُونَ شُفَعاءُ وَلاَ شُهَدَاءُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ. مسلم

442. Those who damn others will be neither intercessors nor witnesses on the Day of Resurrection. (Muslim)

443- وَيْلٌ لِلَّذِي يُحَدِّثُ فَيَكْذِبُ لِيَضْحَكَ بِهِ القَوْمُ وَيْلٌ لَهُ وَيْلٌ لَهُ. ابي داود و الترمذي

443. Woe unto the one who tells lies to make people laugh, woe to him, woe to him. (Abu Daud and At-Tirmithi)

444- لأَنْ يَمْتَلِئْ جَوْفُ أَحَدِكُمْ قَيْحاً أَوْ دَمْاً خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْراً. مسلم

444. It is better for you to be filled with blood or inflammation than to be occupied with poetry. (Muslim)

445- خَيْرُ المُسْلِمِينَ مَنْ سَلِمَ المُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ. مسلم

445. The best Muslim is he whom Muslims are safe from his tongue and hand. (Muslim)

446- سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ مَا الغِيْبَةُ قَالَ ذِكْرُكَ أَخَاكَ بما يَكْرَهُ قِيْلَ وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي أَخِي مَا أَقُولُ قَالَ فإِنْ كانَ فيهِ فَقَدِ اغْتَبْتَهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فَقَدْ بَهَّتَّهُ. أحمد و مسلم

446. The Prophet was asked, “What is Al-Ghibah?” He said, “It is to say bad things about your brother.” They said, “Even if what we say is true about him?” He said, “If what you say is true about him, then you backbite him, and if it is not, then you defame him.” (Ahmad and Muslim)

447- أَلاَ أُنِبْئُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الكَبَائِرِ: الإِشْراكُ بِاللهِ وَعُقُوقُ الوَالِدَيْنِ وَقَوْلُ الزُّورِ وَشَهادَةُ الزُّورِ فَمَا زَالَ يُكَرِّرُها حَتَّى قُلْنا لَيْتَهُ سَكَتَ. متفق عليه

447. Shall I tell you about the greatest sins: (they are) polytheism, parental indignance, and false testimony. He kept repeating it (false testimony) until we wished he would stop. (Agreed on)

448- مَنْ قَذَفَ مَمْلُوكَهُ بِالزِّنَا أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ الحَدُّ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ إلاّ أَنْ يَكُونَ كَمَا قالَ. متفق عليه

448. He who accuses the one who his right hand posseses of adultery will be punished for his accusation in the doomsday unless he (his servant) is as he said. (Agreed on)

449- لَيْسَ المُؤْمِنُ بالطَّعانِ ولا اللَّعَّانِ وَلاَ الفَاحِشِ وَلاَ البَذِيءِ. الترمذي

449. The believer does not slander, curse, insult, nor say nasty things. (At-Tirmithi)
