الفصل الرابع و الأربعون: مُحْبِطَاتُ الأَجْرِ

Chapter 44: Things that Diminish Reward

687- مَنْ تَرَكَ صَلاةَ العَصْرِ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ. البخاري

687. The one who leaves off praying Salat Al-‘Asr, all his past deeds will be removed. (Al-Bukhari)

688- ثَلاَثَةٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ مِنْهُمْ صَلَاةً: مَنْ تَقَدَّمَ قَوْمَهُ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ وَرجُلٌ يَأتِي الصَّلاةَ دُبَارَاً ورَجُلٌ اعْتَبَدَ مُحَرَّرَاً. أبو داود

688. Salah will not be accepted by Allah from these three: an Imam who appointed himself while people disliked him, he who prays Salah after its specified time, and he who enslaves a free person. (Abu Daud)

689- ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ مِنْهُمْ صَلَاةً: رَجُلٌ اَمَّ قَوْمًا وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ، وَامْرَأَةٌ بَاتَتْ وَزَوْجُهَا عَلَيْها غَضْبَانُ، وَأَخَوَانِ مُتَصَارِمَانِ. ابن حبان

689. Salah will not be accepted by Allah from these three: an Imam who appointed himself while people disliked him, a woman who sleeps while her husband is angry with her, and two blood brothers who are in a quarrel with each other. (Ibn Habban)

690- وَالَّذِيْ نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ العَبْدَ لَيَقْذِفُ اللُّقْمَةَ الحَرامَ فِي جَوْفِهِ مَا يُتَقَّبَّلُ مِنْهُ عَمَلٌ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمَاً وَأَيَّمَا عَبْدٌ نُبَتَ لحمُهُ مِنَ سُحْتٍ فَالنَّارُ أَوْلى بِهِ. الطبراني

690. By the One in whose hand is my soul, when a man eats a forbidden morsel, his deed is not accepted for forty days; and whosoever grows his flesh by eating from illegal living, the Fire is worthier to have him. (At-Tabaraani)

691- مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرَاً مِنْ أَرْضٍ بِغَيْرِ حِلٍّ لَهُ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ مِنْهُ صَرْفَاً وَلَا عَدْلَاً. أحمد

691. He who seizes a span of a land not his, it will encircle his neck to the depth of the seven earths, and Allah will not accept any deed from him even if he does good to others. (Ahmad)

692- مَنْ أَتَى عَرَّافَاً فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ فَصَدَّقَهُ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ مِنْهُ صَلَاةً أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمَاً. مسلم

692. He who goes to a fortuneteller, and asks him/her about something, and believes him/her, his Salah will not be accepted for forty days. (Muslim)

693- أَنَاْ أَغْنَى الشُّرَكَاءِ عَنِ الشِّرْكِ فَمَنْ عَمِلَ لِي عَمَلاً أَشْرَكَ فِيْهِ غَيْرِي فَأَنَا مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ هُوَ وَالذَّيْ أَشْرَكَ.

ابن ماجه 693. I am absolutely independent of any association with others; and when any one does a deed while associating others with Me, then I have nothing to do with that person and the one who he associated with Me. (Hadith Qudsi) (Ibn Maajah)

694- إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَقْبَلُ عَمَلَ صَاحِبِ بِدْعَةٍ حَتَّى يَدَعَ بِدْعَتَهُ. ابن ماجه

694. Allah does not accept the deeds of he who innovates, until he leaves it. (Ibn Maajah)

695- سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ مَا يُحْبِطُ الأَجْرَ فِي المُصِيبَةِ قَالَ : صَفِيقُ الرَّجُلِ بِيَمِيِنهِ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ، وَالصَّبْرُ عِنْدَ الصَّدْمَةِ الأُولى فَمَنْ رَضِيَ فَلَهُ الرِّضَا وَمَنْ سَخِطَ فَعَلَّيْهِ السَّخَطُ. ابن ماجه

695. The Prophet was asked, “What are the things that diminish reward when calamity strikes?” He said, “The applause of a man by his right hand on his left hand. The patience is shown at the first; so, he who does not object, will earn Allah’s pleasure, and he who objects, Allah’s anger will be with him.” (Ibn Majah)

696- قَاْلَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ وَاللهِ لَا يَغْفِرُ اللهُ لِفُلانٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَتَآلى عَليَّ أَنْ لَا أَغْفِرَ لَهُ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَهُ وَأَحْبَطُتُ عَمَلَكَ. مسلم

696. A man said in the presence of the Prophet , “Allah will not forgive so-and-so.” So, the Prophet said, “Allah says: who is that who interferes in My work and says that I will not forgive him; I have forgiven him and ruined your deed.” (Muslim)
