109. “Consider someone having a brook in front of his house and he bathes therein five times a day; does any dirt remain?” They said, “No, nothing remains.” He said, “It is exactly like the five daily prayers that Allah erases sins by.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
110- اسْتَقِيْمُوا وَلَنْ تَحْصُوا وَاعْلَمُوْا أَنَّ خَيْرَ أَعْمَالِكُمُ الصَّلاةُ وَلَاْ يُحافِظُ عَلَى الوُضُوءِ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ. مالك110. Be upright, and you will not be able to fulfill (Allah’s Right); and know that the best of your deeds is the Salat; he who maintains his Wudu’ is a believer. (Maalik)
111- مَنْ حَافَظَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ الخَمْسِ رُكُوِعِهَّن وَسُجُودِهِنَّ وَمَواقِيِتِهنَّ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّهُنَّ حَقٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ دَخَلَ الجَنَّةَ أَوْ قَالَ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الجَنَّةُ أَوْ قَالَ حُرِّمَ عَلَى النَّارِ. أحمد111. Whosoever adheres to completing the five daily prayers, their Ruku’ and Sujud in the right time, and believes that they are a truth from Allah, will enter the Paradise. Or he said, “It is his right to be in Paradise.” Or he said, “He is protected from the Fire.” (Ahmad)
112- الصَّلَواتُ الخَمْسُ وَالجُمُعَةُ إِلَى الجُمُعَةِ وَرَمَضَانُ إِلَى رَمَضَانَ مُكَفِّراتٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ إِذَا اجْتُنِبَتِ الكَبَائِرُ. مسلم112. The five daily prayers, Al-Jumu’a to Al-Jumu’a, and Ramadan to Ramadan atone for what is in between if the great sins are avoided. (Muslim)
113- لَنْ يَلِجَ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا. مسلم113. Whosoever prays before the sunrise (Salat Al-Fajr) and before the sunset (Salat Al-‘Asr) will never enter the Fire. (Muslim)
114- مَنْ صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ يَذْكُرُ اللهَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ كَاْنَتْ لَهُ كَأَجْرِ حجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ تَامَّةٍ تَامَّةٍ تَامَّةٍ. الترمذي114. Whosoever prays Salat Al-Fajr in a congregation, sits to glorify Allah until the sunrise, then prays two Rak’as will be rewarded with the reward of Hajj and Umra, perfect, perfect, perfect (in reward). (At-Tirmithi)
115- سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ أَيُّ العَمَلِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ قَالَ الصَّلَاةُ لِميقَاتِهَا قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيُّ قَالَ بِرُّ الوَالِدَيِنْ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيُّ قَالَ الجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ. الشيباني115. The Prophet was asked, “Which deed is the most favored by Allah?” He said, “(Performing) Salat in its right time.” I said, “Then which?” He said, “Obedience to parents.” I said, “Then which?” He said, “Jihad (fighting) for the cause of Allah.” (Al-Shaibani)
116- مُرُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَهُمْ أَبْنَاءُ سَبْعٍ وَاضْرِبُوهُمْ عَلَيْها وَهُمْ أَبْنَاءُ عَشْرٍ وَفَرِّقُوْا بَيْنَهُمْ فِي المَضَاجِعِ. أبو داود116. Order your children to pray at the age of seven, hit them to do it at the age of ten, and separate them in beds. (Abu Dawooud)
117- مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً فَلْيُصَلِّ إِذَا ذَكَرَ لاَ كَفَّارَةَ لَهَا إِلَّا ذَلِك. (الستة إلا مالك)117. Whosoever forgets to do a prayer should pray it when he remembers, for there is no other atonement for it. (The six except Maalik)
118- مَنْ تَرَكَ الصَّلاَةَ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ.الطبراني118. Whosoever leaves the Salah will meet Allah while He is angry with him. (At-Tabaraani)
119- اجْعَلُوا مِنْ صَلَاتِكُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوهَا قُبُورًا . مسلم119. Part of your Salah should be performed at home; do not make your home like a graveyard. (Muslim)
120- إِذَا أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ وَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَمْشُونَ وَعَلَيْكُمْ السَّكِينَةُ فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا . ابن ماجه و غيره120. When the call for Salah is pronounced, don’t run; come walking with tranquility; what ever of it you catch, join the jama’ah and make up what you miss (after the tasleem). (Ibn Maajah and others)
121- إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ صَلَاتُهُ فَإِنْ صَلُحَتْ فَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ وَأَنْجَحَ وَإِنْ فَسَدَتْ فَقَدْ خَابَ وَخَسِرَ فَإِنْ انْتَقَصَ مِنْ فَرِيضَتِهِ شَيْءٌ قَالَ الرَّبُّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ انْظُرُوا هَلْ لِعَبْدِي مِنْ تَطَوُّعٍ فَيُكَمَّلَ بِهَا مَا انْتَقَصَ مِنْ الْفَرِيضَةِ ثُمَّ يَكُونُ سَائِرُ عَمَلِهِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ . الترمذي و غيره121. The first question on the day of judgement will be about salah; if it is perfect the person will succeed and pass; if salah was not perfect then the person will be lost and dissapointed. And when some of the obligatory is not completed, Allah Mighty and Majestic will say, “Look in the record of my servant. Are there any voluntary or extra deeds in his life that would make his obligatory actions perfect?” And it will be so for all deeds. (At-Tirmithi and others)
