205. Oh Abu Tharr, to study well a verse from the Book of Allah and then teach it to others is better than praying one hundred Rak’a, and to study well a branch of Islam and then teach it, whether applied or not (by people), is better than praying one thousand Rak’a. (Ibn Maajah)
206- يَا أَبا ذَرٍّ أَلَاْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلى كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوِز الَجَّنةِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ.ابن ماجه.206. Oh Abu Tharr, would you like me to guide you to one of the treasures of Paradise? Say, “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah - There is no motion nor power but through Allah.” (Ibn Maajah)
207- يَا أبَا ذَرٍّ أَلَاْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلى خَصِلْتَيَن هِيَ أَخَفُّ عَلى الظَّهْرِ وَأَثْقلُ فِي المِيَزانِ مِنْ غَيِرْهِمَا عَلَيْكَ بِحُسْنِ الخُلُقِ وَطُولِ الصَّمْتِ فَوَالذّيْ نَفْسِيْ بِيَدِهِ مَا عَمِلَ الخَلائِقُ بِمِثْلِهِمِا.الطبراني207. Oh Abu Tharr, would you like me to guide you to two practices easier to apply and heavier in the Mizan (the scale) than others? You have to have good manners and to practice long silences; I swear by Allah there is no better practice creatures can do, other than these two. (At-Tabaraani)
208- يَا ابْنَ الَخطَّابِ أَمَاْ تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ لنَا الآخِرةُ وَلَهُمُ الدُّنْيا؟.ابن ماجه208. Oh Ibn Al-Khattab, aren’t you pleased that the hereafter is ours, and this life is theirs (the pagans)? (Ibn Maajah)
209- يَا عَبّاسُ عَمَّ رَسُولِ الله لا تَتَمنَّ الَمْوتَ إِنْ كُنْتَ مُحْسِناً تَزْدَادُ إَحْسَانَاً إلِى إِحْسَانٍ خَيْرٌ لَكَ وِإنْ كُنْتَ مُسِيْئاً فِإنْ تُؤَخّر تُسْتَعْتَبْ مِنْ إسَاءَتِكَ خيْرٌ لَكَ لا تَتَمَنَّ المَوْتَ. متفق عليه
209. Oh Abbas, the Prophet’s uncle, do not wish death; if you are a good doer, your benevolence will increase and this is good for you; and if you are a bad doer, you have time to repent and this is good for you. So, do not wish death. (Agreed upon)
210- يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنّي أَرَاْكَ ضَعِيْفاً وإِنَّي أُحِبُّ لَكَ مَاْ أُحِبُّ لَنِفْسِيْ لاَ تُؤْمَرَنَّ على اْثَنْينِ وَلَاْ تَلِي مَاْلَ يَتِيْمٍ.مسلم
210. Oh Abu Tharr, I see you weak and I wish for you what I wish for myself, do not rule even if it is two people and do not be in charge of an orphan’s inheritance. (Muslim)
211- يَا كَعْبُ بُن عَجُرَة إِنَّه لَاْ يَرْبُو لَحْمٌ نَبَتَ مِنْ سُحْتٍ إلَّا كَانَتِ النَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِ.الترمذي211. Oh Ka’b Bin Ujrah, the fire is right to burn the flesh that is grown with the forbidden. (At-Tirmithi)
212- يَاْ مُعَاْذُ بنُ جَبلٍ مَاْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَاْ إَلَهَ إِلْا الله وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًّ رَسُولُ الله صِدْقاً منْ قَلْبِهِ إِلَّا حَرَّمَهُ الله علَى النَّارِ.متفق عليه212. Oh Mu’az Ibn Jabal, whosoever witnesses faithfully that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger, Allah will prohibit the fire to touch him. (Agreed on)
213- يَاْ مُعَاذُ وَالله إِنّي لُأحِبُّكَ أَوصِيْكَ يَا مُعَاْذُ لَا تَدَعَنَّ فِي دُبِرُ كُلّ صلاةٍ أَنْ تَقُولَ: اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِيّ عَلى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ.ابن حبان والنسائي213. Oh Mu’az, I swear by Allah that I love you! Thus, I advise you not to forget saying after each Salah: “Allahumma a’innee ‘alaa dhirika wa shukrika wa husni ‘ibaadatik, Oh Allah, help me to remember you often, be grateful to you and worship you better”. (Ibn Habban and Al-Nasaai)
214- يَاْ بَنِي سَلَمَة دِيارُكُمْ تُكتَبُ آثارُكُم دِيَارُكُم تُكْتَبُ آثارُكُمْ.مسلم214. (The Salamah tribe sought permission to move close to the Masjid. Rasulullah said to them,) Oh Children of Salamah, stay in your dwellings; your footsteps to the Masjid are recorded for you. Your footsteps to the Masjid are recorded for you. (Muslim)
215- يَاْ مَعْشَرَ المُسْلِمِيَن لَاْ صَلَاْةَ لِمْن لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فيِ الرُّكُوِع والسُّجُودِ.أحمد215. Oh Muslims, your Salah is not complete if your spine is not straight after rising from Ruku’ and Sujood. (Ahmad)
216- يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ إِنَّ التُجَّارَ يُبْعَثُوَن يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ فُجَّاراً إِلآ مَنِ اتَّقَى الله وَبَرَّ وَصَدَقَ.أحمد216. Oh merchants! Verily, merchants will be rebellious on the Day of Judgment except for those who fear Allah, give alms, and speak the truth. (Ahmad)
217- يَاْ مَعْشَرَ الشَّباْبِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاْعَ مِنْكُمُ البَاءَةَ فلْيَتَزوَّجِ فَإنَّهُ اَغَضُّ للِبْصَرَ وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وجَاءُ . متفق عليه217. Oh young men! Marry if you have the ability because marriage keeps your sight humble and protects your chastity; and if you do not have the ability to marry, you have to fast because fasting is a sheild. 218- يَاْ أَنَسُ إِذَا هَمَمْتَ بِأَمْرٍ فَاسْتَخِرْ رَبَّكَ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ انْظُرْ إِلَى الَّذِيْ يَسْبِقُ إِلَى قَلْبِكَ فَإِنَّ الْخَيْرَ فِيْهِ. ابن السني218. Oh Anas, before you embark upon a matter ask Allah to choose the good for you by repeating Salatu-l-Istikharah (two Raka’a with a special Du’a) three times, then do what your heart is happy with, because it is the good chosen by Allah for you. 219- يَاْ عَمْرُو بَايِعْ فَإِنَّ الِإسْلَامَ يَجُبُّ مَاْ كَانَ قَبْلَهُ وَإِنَّ الهِجْرَةَ تَجِبُّ مَا كَانَ قَبْلَهَاْ. ابن عساكر219. Oh Amr Ibn Al-a’s, give allegiance to Islam! Verily, Islam pardons all (sins) done before it, and verily, Al-Hijrah (immigration from Mecca to Medina) wipes out all (sins) done before. (Ibn Asaakir)
