292. Allah says (in Hadith Qudsi): I am as my servant’s opinion of Me, and I am with him when he calls Me. (Agreed on)
293- مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَجِيبَ الله لَهُ عِنْدَ الشَّدِائدِ فَلْيُكْثِرْ مِنَ الدُّعَاءَ عَنْدَ الرَّخَاءِ.الحاكم293. He who needs to be answered by Allah in difficulties, should glorify Allah in prosperity. (Al-Haakim)
294- إِنَّ الله حَيِيٌّ كَرِيٌم يَسْتَحِي إِذَا رَفَعَ الرَّجلُ إِلَيْه يَدَيْهِ أَنْ يَرْدَّهُما صُفْراً خَائِبَتَيْنِ.البخاري294. Verily, Allah is generous; He feels shy when His servant raises his hands to Him in supplication to turn him down. (Al-Bukhari)
295- لاَ يُغْنِي حَذَرُ مِنْ قَدَرٍ وَالدُّعَاءُ يَنْفَعُ فِيما نَزَلَ وَممِاَّ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ وَإِنَّ البَلَاءَ لَيَنْزِلُ فَيَلْقَاهُ الدُّعَاءُ فَيَعْتِلجَانِ إلى يوْمِ القِيَامةِ.الطبراني295. Too much caution will not change the decree. Supplication will benefit things, however, whether they have happened or not. When calamities descend, it clashes with the du’a as it ascends, until the Day of Resurrection. (At-Tirmithi)
296- سَمِعَ النَّبيُّ رَجُلاً وَهُو يَقُولُ يَا ذَا الجْلاَلِ وَاِلإكْرَامِ فَقَالَ قَدِ اسْتِجُيَب لَكَ فَسَلْ.- وَفِي رِوَايَة: الظْوُا بِيَاذَا الْجَلَالِ وَاْلإكْرامِ.الترمذي 296. The Prophet heard a man saying, “Yaa dhaljalaali wal-ikraam- Oh the Majestic and Honorable One.” He said to him, “You are answered, so ask.” - In another narration, “Adhere to saying, ‘Yaa dhaljalaali wal-ikraam- Oh The Majestic and Honorable One.’” (At-Tirmithi)
297- دَعْوَةُ ذِي النُّونِ إِذْ دَعَاهُ وَهَوُ فيِ بَطْنِ الُحوتِ لَا إِلهَ إلَّا أَنْتَ سبُحْانَكَ إِنّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالمِيِنَ، لَمْ يَدْعُ بِها رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إلَّا اسَتَجابَ الله لَهُ.الترمذي297. The prayer of Zhiin-nun (the Prophet Jonah) when he prayed to Allah when he was inside the whale is, “La ilaha illa anta subhaanaka inni kuntu mina-thaalimeen- There is no god but You. Glory is to You. I was indeed wrong.” No man prays to Allah saying it but is answered. (At-Tirmithi)
298- مَا عَلى وَجْهِ الَأْرضِ مُسْلمٌ يَدَعْوُ بَدَعْوَةٍ إلَّا أَتاهُ الله إِيَّاهَا أَوْ صَرَفَ عَنْهُ مِنَ السُّوءِ مِثْلَها مَا لَمْ يَدْعُ بِإِثْمٍ أَوْ قَطِيَعةِ رَحِمٍ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ القَوْمِ إِذَنْ نُكْثرُ قَال الله أَكْثرُ.الترمذي298. When any Muslim on the face of the earth prays to Allah, Allah grants his request or removes an evil from him corresponding to his request unless he prayed to do evil or to cut relations with his relatives. A man said to the Prophet, “So, we will pray much more.” He said, “Allah is much.” (At-Tirmithi)
299- قِيْلَ يَا رَسُولَ الله أَيُّ الدُّعَاءِ اَسمَعُ قَالَ جَوْفَ اللَّيِلِ الَآخِرِ وَدُبُرَ الصَّلَواتِ المَكْتُوباتِ.الترمذي299. The Prophet was asked, “When is the best time to supplicate?” He said, “In the last part of the night and after every obligatory Salah.” (At-Tirmithi)
300- تَعّوذوُا بالله مِنْ جَهْدِ البَلاءِ وَدَرْكِ الشَّقَاءِ وَسُوءِ القَضَاءِ وَشمَاَتَةِ الأَعْداءِ.متفق عليه300. Seek refuge with Allah from the heaviness of the troubles, the grossness of the distress, the misfortune in predestiny, and the gloating of enemies over grief. (Agreed on)
301- لاَ تَدْعُوا عَلى أَنْفُسكُمْ وَلاَ تَدْعُوا عَلى أَوْلادِكُمْ وَلَاْ تَدْعُوا عَلى خَدَمِكُم وَلَاْ تَدْعُوا عَلى أَمْوالِكُمْ لا تُوافِقوُا مِنَ الله ساعةً يُسْأَلُ فيِها عَطَاءٌ فَيَسْتَجَيبُ لَكُمْ.مسلم301. Don’t pray against yourselves; do not pray against your children; don’t pray against your servants; and don’t pray against your money; because it may be in an hour when Allah answers prayer, and He answers you. (Muslim)
302- ثَلَاثُ دَعَوَاتٍ لَا شَكَّ في إِجَاَبِتَهَنَّ دَعْوَةُ الَمْظلُومِ وَدَعْوَةُ الُمسافِرِ وَدَعْوَةُ الوَالِدِ لِوَلِدهِ.الترمذي302. Three supplications are definitely answered without any doubt: the supplication of the oppressed one, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of the father for his child. (At-Tirmithi)
303- يَا سَعْدُ أَطِبْ مَطْعَمَكَ تَكُنْ مُسْتَجَابَ الدَّعْوَةِ.الطبراني303. Oh Sa’d, (if you) eat Halal (from a legal living), your supplication will be answered. (At-Tabaraani)
304- أَشْرَفُ الِعبَادَةِ الدُّعَاءِ.البخاري304. The most honorable worship is suplication (Du’a). (Al-Bukhari)
305- مَنْ لَمْ يَسْألِ اللهَ يَغْضَبْ عَلَيْهِ.أحمد305. Who does not ask Allah, will get his wrath. (Ahmad)
306- ادْعُوا الله وَأَنْتُم مُوِقُنونَ بِالَإجَابَةِ وَاْعلَمُوا أَنَّ الله لا يَسْتَجِيُب مِنْ قَلْبٍ غَافِلٍ لاَهٍ.الترمذي306. Supplicate to Allah and be sure He will answer you, and know that Allah does not answer an unmindful and heedless heart. (At-Tirmithi)
307- يَاْ رَسُولَ الله أيُّ الدُّعاءِ أَفَضْلُ قَاَلَ تَسْأَلُ رَبَّكَ العَفْوَ وَالعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنيْا وَالآخِرَةَ فَإِنَّكَ إَنْ أُعْطِيَتُهما فِي الدّنْيا ثُمَّ أُعْطِيَتُهما فِي الآخِرَةِ فَقَدْ أَفْلَحْتَ.أحمد307. The Prophet was asked, “Which supplication is better?” He said, “To ask Allah for forgiveness and wellness in this life and in the hereafter. If you are given that in this life, and then, in the hereafter you have success.” (Ahmad)
308- كَانَ يقولُ عِنْدَ الكَرْبِ: لَا إِلهَ إلَّا الله العَظِيُم الَحِليمُ لَاْ إِلهَ إِلَّا الله رَبُّ العَرْشِ العَظِيمُ لَا إِلهَ إِلَّا الله رَبُّ السَّموَاتِ وَرَبُّ الأَرْضِ رَبُّ العَرْشِ الكَرِيِم.أحمد308. The Prophet used to say when he was in trouble, “La ilaha illallah Al’azeemul-haleem La ilaha illallahu rabbul-‘arshil ‘atheem La ilaha illallahu rabbu-ssamaawaati wa rabbul-ardi rabbul-‘arshil kareem, There is no god but Allah, the Most Great, the Most Forbearing; There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Great Throne; There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth, and the Lord of the Generous Throne.” (Ahmad)
309- دَعْوَةُ اَلْمرءِ المُسْلِمِ لأَخِيهِ بِظَهْرِ الغَيْبِ مسْتَجَابَةٌ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ مَلَكٌ مُوْكَلٌ كُلَمَّا دَعَا لِأَخِيهِ بِخَيْرٍ قَالَ الَمَلكُ الُموكَلُ بِهِ آمِيَن وَلَكَ بِمْثلِ ذلِكَ.مسلم309. The supplication of a man for his brother, when his brother is absent is answered; there is an Angel charged with standing by his head, so whenever he supplicates for his brother, the Angel says, “The same is for you.” (Muslim)
310- كَانَ أَكْثَرُ دُعاءِ النَّبِيُّ: اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا في الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وفِي الآَخَرِةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ.البخاري ومسلم310. The Du’a that the Prophet used to say most is, “Allahuma aatinaa fidduniyaa hasanatan wa feel-aakhirati hasanatan wa qinaa ‘adhaaban-naar- Our Lord, give us good in this world and in the hereafter, and save us from the torment of the Fire.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
311- إِنَّ لله مَلَكاً مُوْكَلاً بِمَنْ يَقُولُ: يا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحَمِيِنَ فَمَنْ قَاَلَها ثَلَاثاً قَالَ الَمَلُك إِنَّ أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيَن قَدْ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْكَ فَسَلْ.الحاكم311. Allah has an Angel responsible for the one who says, “Yaa arhamar-raahimeen- Oh Most Merciful of the merciful ones.” He who says this three times, the Angel says to him, “The Most Merciful of the merciful ones is coming towards you, so ask Him.” (Al-Haakim)
