324. For he who does a sin then receives its (Islamic) punishment, this atones for the sin. (Ahmad)
325- إِذَا قَالَ العَبْدُ لَاْ إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ قَالَ اللهُ يَا مَلَاْئِكَتِي عَلِمَ عَبْدِي أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَهُ رَبُّ غَيِرْي أُشْهِدُكُمْ إنِّي قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَهُ.ابن عساكر325. When a man says, “La ilaha illallah- There is no god but Allah,” Allah says, “Oh My Angels; My servant knows that he has no Lord but Me, so witness that I pardoned him.” (Ibn Asaaker)
326- مَا يَزَالُ البَلَاْءُ بِالُمْؤِمِنِ وَالمُؤْمِنَةِ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ حَتَّى يَلْقَى اللهَ تَعَالَى وَمَا عَلَيْهِ خَطِيْئةٌ.الحاكم والترمذي326. The adversity is still in the Muslim’s body and with his/her money until he/she meets Allah, purified of all sins. (Al-Haakim and At-Tirmithi)
327- إِذَا ابْتَلَيْتُ عَبْدِي بِحَبِيبَتَيْهِ فَصَبَرَ عَوَّضَتُه مِنْهُمَا الجَنَّةَ.البخاري327. Allah says (in Hadith Qudsi), “If I inflict My servant with his two beloved ones (his two eyes) and he stays patient, I will compensate him with Paradise.” (Al-Bukhari)
328- مَا يُصِيبُ المُؤْمِنَ نَصَبٌ وَلَاْ وَصَبٌ وَلَاْ هَمٌّ وَلَاْ حَزَنٌ وَلَاْ أَذَى وَلَاْ غَمٌّ حَتَّى الشَّوُكَةُ يُشَاكُهَا إِلَّا كَفَّرَ اللهُ بِهَا عَنْ خَطَايَاهُ. البخاري ومسلم328. Every fatigue, hardship, pain, worry, sorrow, mischief, oppression, and even every prick of a thorn that befalls the Muslim atones for sins. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
329- إِنَّ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ ذُنُوبَاً لَاْ يُكَفِّرُهَا الصَّلاَةُ وَلَا الصِّيَامُ وَلَا الحَجُّ وَلَا العُمْرَةُ يُكَفِّرُهَا الهُمُومُ فِي طَلِبِ الَمِعيشَةِ. ابن عساكر329. Verily, some sins are not removed by Salah, Siyam, Hajj, or Umrah, but through the worries of seeking a livelihood. (Ibn Asaaker)
330- أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا يَمْحُو اللهُ بِهِ الخَطَايَا وَيَرْفَعُ الدَّرَجَاتِ إِسْبَاغُ الوُضُوءِ عَلَى الَمَكارِةِ وَكَثْرَةُ الخَطَا إِلَى المَسَاجِدِ وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاِة بَعْدَ الصَّلَاِة .مالك ومسلم330. Should I guide you to what Allah erases sins with, and raises ranks through? To perform Wudu’ (ablution) thoroughly, above and beyond the required, to increase the steps you make walking to the masjid, and to wait for Salah after Salah. (Maalik and Muslim)
331- مَنْ لَزِمَ الاسْتِغْفَارَ جَعَلَ اللهُ لَهُ مِنْ كُلّ ضِيْقٍ مَخْرَجَاً وَمِنْ كُلّ هَمٍّ فَرَجَاً وَرَزَقَهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ. أبو داود331. He who sticks to Istighfar (asking Allah’s forgiveness), Allah brings him relief from every adversity and every worry, and sustains him from unexpected sources. (Abu Daud)
332- المُؤَذِّنُ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ مَدَى صَوْتِهِ وَيُصَدِّقُهُ كُلُّ رَطْبٍ وَيَابِسٍ. أحمد332. Every moist and dried substance will seek forgiveness for the Mu’aththin as far as his voice is heard, and will confirm his call. (Ahmad)
333- الصَّلَوَاتُ الخَمْسُ وَالجُمْعَةُ إِلَى الجُمْعَةِ كَفَّارَةٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ مَا لَمْ تُغْشَ الكَبَائِرُ.مسلم333. All sins are forgiven from one Salah to the next, and Jumu’a to Jumu’a, unless Kaba’ir (the great sin) is committed.
334- مَنْ سَدَّ فُرْجَةً فِي الصَّفِ غُفِرَ لَهُ.البزار334. He who fills up an empty space in the prayer line will be forgiven. (Al-Bazzar)
335- مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ للهِ سَجْدَةً إَلَّا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَمَحَا عَنْهُ سَيِّئَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً فَاسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ السُّجُودِ.ابن ماجه335. Whosoever prostrates to Allah, Allah writes for him a good deed, erases for him a sin and raises him a grade; so do a lot of Sujood. (Ibn Maajah)
336- مَنْ قَعَدَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ حِينَ يَنْصَرفُ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَي الضُّحَى لَا يَقُولُ إِلَّا خَيْراً غُفِرَتْ لَهُ خَطَايَاهُ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مَثْلَ زَبَدِ البَحْرِ.أحمد336. He who remains seated after Salatul-Fajr until the time of Sunrise, then Prays two raka’a of Salat Ad-Duha saying only good, his sins are forgiven even if they were like the foam of the sea. (Ahmad)
337- مَنْ صَلَّى بَعْدَ المَغْرِبِ سِتَّ رَكْعَاتٍ غُفِرَتْ ذُنُوبُهُ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ البَحْرِ.الطبراني337. Whoever prays six Rakat after Salat Al-Maghreb, his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea. (At-Tabaraani)
338- مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَيُسْبغُ الوُضُوءَ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَيَعْلَمُ مَا يَقُولُ إِلَّا انْفَتَلَ وَهَوَ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ.الحاكم338. Any Muslim who does Wudu’ perfectly then prays with sincerity and understanding will return pure like the day he was born. (Al-Haakim)
339- مَنْ أَمْسَى كَالَّاً مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدِهِ أَمْسَى مَغْفُوراً لَهُ.الطبراني339. He who enters the evening exhausted by his work, will sleep free of sins. (At-Tabaraani)
340- إِنَّ مِنْ مُوجِبَاتِ المَغْفِرَةِ إِدْخَالُ السُّرُورِ عَلَى أَخِيْكَ المُسْلِمِ.الطبراني340. Verily, a good deed that incurs forgiveness is to bring a smile to your Muslim brother/sister. (At-Tabaraani)
341- مَنْ جَلَسَ مَجْلِساً كَثُرَ فِيْهِ لَغَطُهُ فَقَالَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُومَ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ذَلِكَ: سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ ذَلِكَ.أبو داود341. Whoever sits in a group and is involved in vain talk, and says before he leaves, “Subhanakallaahumma wa bihamdik ashhadu an laa ilaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atoobu ilaiyk, Our Lord, Praise and Glory be to You, I witness You are the only God, I repent to You and ask Your forgiveness,” the waste he committed in that gathering will be forgiven. (Abu Daud)
342- كَفَّارَةُ مَنِ اغْتَبْتَ أَنْ تَسْتَغْفِرَ لَهُ.ابن أبي الدنيا342. When one of you slanders another in his absence, you should seek forgiveness for him. (Ibn Abi Ad-Dunia)
343- مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَعَرَفَ حُدُودَهُ وَتَحَفَّظَ مِمَّا يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَتَحَفَّظَ كَفَّر مَا قَبْلَهُ.ابن حبان343. Whoever fasts Ramadan, faithfully adhering to the borders of it, and avoiding that which should be avoided will be free of the sins he did. (Ibn Habban)
