722. If I had to choose a beloved, I would have chosen Abu Bakr as my beloved but (he is) my brother and my companion, and your companion (meaning himself) has been chosen by Allah as His beloved. (Muslim)
723- ارَتَّجِ أُحُدٌ وَعَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ أُثْبُتْ أُحُدُ مَا عَلَيْكَ إلاَّ نَبِيٌّ وصدِّيقٌ وَشَهِيدَانِ. أحمد723. Uhod mountain shook violently while the Prophet, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman were standing on it, so the Prophet said, “Be steady Uhod; (those) standing on you are not but a prophet, a sincere man, and two martyrs. (Ahmad)
724- مَرَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ فَقَال النبيُّ هذَانِ سَيِّدا كُهُولِ أَهْلِ الجَنَّةِ مِنَ الأَوَّلِينَ والآخِريِنَ مَا خَلاَ النَّبِيينَ والمُرْسَلِين لا تُخْبِرْ هُما يَا عَلَيُّ. الترمذي724. Abu Bakr and Umar passed by, so the Prophet said, “Those are the nobles of the Paradise’s great men, among the foremost and the rearmost except for the Prophets and Apostles. Oh Ali, do not tell them this.” (At-Tirmithi)
725- أَتَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النبيَّ فأَمَرَها أَنْ تَرْجِعَ فَقالَتْ أَرَأيْتَ إِنْ جِئْتُ وَلَمْ أَجِدْكَ (كَأَّنها تَعني الموتَ) قَالَ إنْ لَمْ تَجِدِيني فَأْتِي أَبَا بَكْرٍ. البخاري725. A woman came to the Prophet and he ordered her to go and come back. She said, “If I come and do not find you (meaning death)?” He said, “If you do not find me, go to Abu Bakr.” (Al-Bukhari)
726- إِنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ فِيمَا مَضَى مِنْ قَبْلكُمْ مِنَ الأُمَمِ ناسٌ مُحَّدُثونَ وإِنَّهُ إِنْ كَانَ في أُمَّتِي هذِهِ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدٌ فإِنَّهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الخَطّابِ. البخاري وأحمد726. There were inspired men in nations before you; if there are any of them in my Ummah, one of them is Umar Bin Al-Khattab. (Al-Bukhari and Ahmad)
727- والَّذيِ نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا لَقِيَكَ الشَّيْطَانُ قَطُّ سَاِلكَاً فَجّاً إلاَّ سَلَكَ فَجّاً غَيْرَ فَجِّكَ. البخاري727. The Prophet said, addressing Umar Bin Al-Khattab, “I swear by Allah that whenever the satan sees you passing through a street, he passes through another one.” (Al-Bukhari)
728- عَنْ أَبي سَعيِدٍ الخِدَرِيِّ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النبيَّ مِنْ أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ إِلى أَنْ طَلَعَ الفَجْرُ لا حِفاً يَدَيْهِ لعُثْمَانَ بنِ عَفَّانَ يَقولُ اللهمَّ رَضَيْتُ عَنْهُ فارْضَ عنه. ابن عساكر728. Abi Sa’eed Al-Khudri said, “I saw the Prophet from the first of the night until the daylight praying for Uthman Bin Affan and saying: Oh God, I am pleased with him, so be pleased with him.” (Ibn Asaaker)
729- قَالَ لِعَائِشَةَ: أَلاَ أَسْتَحِي مِمَّن تَسْتَحِي مِنْهُ المَلائِكَةُ؟. أحمد726. The Prophet said to A’ishah (about Uthman), “Wouldn’t I blush from what the Angels blush from?” (Ahmad)
730- مَا لأَحَدٍ عَنْدَنا يَدٌ إَلاَّ وَقَدْ كَافْأَنَاهُ ما خَلاَ أَبا بَكْرٍ فِإنَّ لهُ عِنْدَنَا يَدٌ يُكَافِئُهُ اللهُ بِها يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ. الترمذي730. We have awarded everyone who did us a favor except for Abu Bakr; he did us a favor that Allah will award him for, in the Day of Judgment. (At-Tirmithi)
731- قَالَ عَليٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللِه تُخْلِفُنِي في النِّسَاءِ والصِّبْيِانِ ؟ قَالَ أَوْ تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمْنِزَلةِ هارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى غَيْرَ أَنهُ لاَ نَبَّي بَعْدِي. أحمد731. Ali said, “Oh Messenger of Allah, will you leave me with women and sons (in the Battle of Tabuk)?” The Prophet said, “Aren’t you pleased to be for me as the Prophet Haroon was for the Prophet Moses, but there is no prophet after me.” (Ahmad)
732- لأُعْطِينَّ الرَايَةَ رَجُلاً يُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُوَلَه يَفْتَحُ اللهُ عَليْهِ. مسلم732. I will give the banner (of Islam) to a man who loves Allah and his Messenger and to whom Allah will grant victory. (Muslim)
733- بَعَثَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمن بنِ عَوْفٍ مَالاً لِعَائِشَةً رضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا فَقَالَت: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ يَقُولُ: لَنْ يَحْنُوَ عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي إِلاَّ الصَّالِحُونَ سَقَى اللهُ ابن عوفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الجَنَّةِ. ابو نعيم733. Abd Al-Rahman Bin Awf sent money to A’ishah (after the Prophet’s death), so she said, “I heard the Prophet saying, ‘None are compassionate toward you after me but the righteous ones;‘ Allah give Ibn Awf a drink from the Paradise’s fountain.” (Abu Naim)
734- قَالَ النبيُّ يَومَ أُحُدٍ لِسَعْدٍ: يَا سَعْدُ ارمِ فِدَاكَ أَبي وأُمِّي. متفق عليه734. The Prophet said on Uhod’s Day (the battle of Uhod) to Sa’d, “Oh Sa’d, throw (your spear), I sacrifice my father and mother for you.” (Agreed on)
735- قَال رَسُولَ اللهِ لأُبي بن كَعْبٍ إنَّ اللهَ عزَّ وَجلَّ أَمَرَني أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكَ لَمْ يَكُنِ الذِّيِنَ كَفَرُوا قَالَ وَسَمَّانِي قَالَ نَعَمْ وَبَكَى. متفق عليه735. The Prophet said to Ubai Ibn Ka’b, “Allah has told me to read for you ‘Those who reject faith ….’ (Surat Al-Baiyyinah).” He said, “Has he named me for you?” The Prophet said, “Yes.” So, he (Ubai Ibn Ka’b) cried (out of happiness). 736- لاَ تَسُبُّوا أَمْواَتَنَا فَتُؤْذُوْا أَحْيَاءَنا فَجاءَ القَوْمُ فَقالوا يا رَسُولَ اللهِ نَعوذُ باللهِ مِنْ غَضَبِكَ. الترمذي736. “Don’t insult our dead, in order not to harm our living.” Thereupon, people said, “Oh Rasullulah, we seek refuge with God from your anger.” (At-Tirmithi)
737- إنَّ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَمِينَاً وإنَّ أَمينَ هذهِ الأُمَةِ أَبو عُبَيْدَةَ بِنْ الجَرَّاحِ. البخاري737. Verily, every nation has a trustee, and the trustee of this nation is Abu Ubaidah Bin Al-Jarrah. (Al-Bukhari)
738- إنَّ الجَنَّةَ تَشْتَاقُ إلى ثلاثةٍ: عَليٍّ وَعَمَّاٍر وَسَلْمَانَ.738. Verily, the Paradise longs for three (men): Ali, Ammar, and Salmaan.
739- مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ القُرْآنَ رَطِبْاً كَمَا أُنْزِلَ فَلْيَقْرأهُ عَلى قِراءَةِ ابْنِ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ. أحمد739. He who is pleased to read the Qur’an fresh, as it was revealed (to me), should read it tracing Ibn Um Abd’s (Ibn Mas’ood) reading. (Ahmad)
740- كَشَفَتِ الرِّيْحُ عَنْ سَاقِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَضَحِكَ الصَّحَابَةُ لِدِقَّةِ سَاقَيْهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ : وَالَّذِيْ نَفْسِيْ بِيَدِهِ لَهُمَا أَثْقَلُ فِيْ المِيزَانِ مِنْ أُحُدَ. أحمد740. The wind made clear the legs of Abdullah Bin Mas’ood, so the Sahabah laughed at the thinness of his legs. So, the Prophet said, “I swear by Allah that they are heavier in the Mizan (the balance of the doomsday) than Uhod Mountain.” (Ahmad)
741- مَا أَقَلَّتِ الغَبْرَاءُ وَلا أَظَلَّتِ الخَضْرَاءُ مِنْ رَجُلٍ أَصْدَق َمِنْ أَبِي ذَرٍ. أحمد741. The earth has not carried and the sky has not shaded a man truer than Abu Zarr. (Ahmad)
742- عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ضَمَّنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ وَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْهُ الحِكْمَةَ. البخاري742. Ibn Abbas said, “The Prophet embraced me and said: Oh God, teach him wisdom.” (Al-Bukhari)
743- اللَّهُمَ فَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّيْنِ وعَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيْلَ. أحمد743. Oh God, indoctrinate him (Ibn Abbas) with religion and teach him interpretation. (Ahmad)
744- لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيٌّ وحَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ. البخاري ومسلم744. Every Prophet had a minister, and my minister is Az-Zubair. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
745- اهْتَزَّ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ لِمَوْتِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذَ. البخاري ومسلم745. God’s throne swayed for the death of Sa’d Bin Mu’az. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
746- نِعْمَ عَبْدُ اللهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الوَلِيْدِ سَيْفٌ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللهِ. أحمد746. Blessed be Khalid Bin Al-Waleed; he is a sword of God’s swords. (Ahmad)
747- طَلْحَةُ شَهِيْدٌ يَمْشِي عَلَى وَجْهِ الأَرْضِ. الترمذي والحاكم747. Talhah is a martyr walking on the face of the earth. (Altirmizi and Al Hakim)
748- يَا ابْنَ الخَطَّابِ ومَا يُدْرِيْكَ لَعَلَّ اللهَ اطَّلَعَ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ فَقَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَكُمْ. أبو داود748. Oh Ibn Al-Khattab, how would you know that Allah has looked into the people of Badr (who fought in the battle of Badr) and said: Do whatever you like; I have pardoned you? (Abu Dawud)
749- مَا ضَرَّ عُثْمَانَ مَا عَمِلَ بَعْدَ اليَوْمِ. الترمذي749. Uthman will never be in loss whatever he does after today (the Prophet said this when Uthman equipped Al-Usrah Army). (At-Tirmithi)
750- لا يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَة. مسلم750. No one of those who paid homage (to Islam) under the tree (in Bai’at Al-Ridwan) will enter the Fire. (Muslim)
751- آيَةُ الإِيمَانِ حُبُّ الأَنْصَارِ وَآيَةُ النِّفَاقِ بُغْضُ الأَنْصَار. البخاري751. The sign of Iman is the love for Al-Ansar (people of Medina), and the sign of hypocrisy is the hatred for Al-Ansar. (Al-Bukhari)
752- لا تَسُبُّوا أَصْحَابِي فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَوْ أَنْفَقَ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبَاً مَا أَدْرَكَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ ولا نِصْفَيْه. أحمد752. Don’t insult my companions. Verily, if you spend gold as much as Uhod Mountain, you will not get one handful of their blessings or even half of one. (Ahmad)
