(Ahmad)

917. Allah's Apostle, the true and truly inspired said, "(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wicked (in religion). So I swear by the one in Who’s hand is my soul that a man amongst you may do (in one version, good deeds according to the people) untill there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire and then he will enter it. And similarly a man amongst you may do (in one version, evil deeds according to the people) untill there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise then he will enter it." (Al-Bukhari)

He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food like-wise again untill suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read.” The Prophet added, "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?' And your Lord is the Most Generous.’” (Al-Bukhari)

947. The earth rose to me and I saw the east and the west of it and I was given the two treasures, the yellow and the red or the white, meaning the gold and silver; and it was said to me that, “Your kingdom will reach what rose to you.” And indeed I asked Allah three things: for my Ummah not to destroyed by starvation, not to be destroyed collectively by their enemy (or in another version, not to make the majority wrong), and not to fight eachother, and Allah said to me, “When I decree something, no one can change it. I will not cause your Ummah to starve collectively to death, and I will not cause their enemy to finish them until they start to finish eachother and kill eachother." And when the sword is placed in my Ummah it will not be left until the day of resurrection. And what I fear most for my Ummah is mislead imams; some of the tribe of my Ummah will affiliate themselves with statue worshipers, others will follow the pagans; just before the hour, there will be liers, dajjaliin, about thirty of them, all of them will claim prophethood; but one group of my Ummah will remain upright on the truth victorious by Allah, those who oppose them will not harm them until Allah's, Mighty and Magestic, final order comes.
